ABOUT ME

My name is Reggie Keitt and I'm just a charismatic intellectual with a confident posture. A Southern gentleman from the great state of South Carolina. As a military veteran I've traveled the world abundantly and experienced many cultures while interacting with various types of people. One thing my worldly travels did was give me a greater affinity for life in the U.S. It made me appreciate considerably so many things that we as First World citizens take for granted.

One of these freedoms that we forsake is the ability to read whatever we want, whenever we want, uninhibited. We can even write whatever we choose, it's a First Amendment right in the U.S. Constitution. With that being said, you have to understand my frustrations seeing so many people abroad risk persecution by reading certain writings, then come home to the U.S. where you can't even pay some people to read.

Studies show that in 2017 only 15% of men in the U.S. read for pleasure. Then there's the even bigger myth that black men don't read at all. Well i'm here to debunk that myth and do my part to not only inspire black men, but my white and brown brethren alike, to read more. Starting with just one book a month over the next year. In the long run I'd like this initiative to evolve into something greater. A fraternity of sorts forged on mentorship and a brotherhood that truly goes beyond books.
